Character Education Program

Star View Character Education Program

Our character education program consists of a monthly emphasis on a character trait. We reinforce this through lessons and positive reinforcement taught by teachers, the librarian, and the Kids Club after school. In addition, our counselor visits our classrooms monthly to engage the students with hands-on activities to create a cohesive and unified approach to building a future generation of citizens who have the tools to care about the world and each other.

Character Lessons: Teachers reinforce monthly character lessons based on current character traits in their classrooms. Classroom lessons will reinforce our focus through readings and shared discussions.

Recognition: Positive examples of each character trait will be recognized during weekly flag ceremonies. Teachers will select students from each classroom who have been role models and exhibit that character trait. They will be honored with a character bracelet. Families are welcome to join us at 8:45 am.
